Go Generic! Now selling Generic Medicines, find out why…

Generic Medicines are a much needed gateway for everyone to be able to access the medicines they need without paying a premium for patented or Branded Medicines that currently monopolise the market.

Generic Medicines and Branded Medicines are considered to be identical or bioequivalent in dosage form, safety, efficacy, route of administration. This is because both Generic and Branded Medicines are made in the same fashion, following validated manufacturing processes, complying with Good Manufacturing practices and schedule “M” requirements.

We only stock Generic Medicine by well known reputable companies – many Indian companies manufacture both branded and generic drugs. In fact, over 80% of Generic Medicines produced in India are exported to the UK, Europe and USA, but in India, Generic Medicines are often perceived  as the “second best” option. This means that pharmacies don’t usually stock Generic Medicines due to low demand, which results in everyone paying higher prices for Branded Medicines. The effect of this phenomena is worse as it further marginalises low-income households and leaves them unable to afford the medicines they really need.
